1. Who we are

ICL Education & Training (“ICL”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is ICL Education & Training Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15257240, registered office 12 Arncliffe Close, Hindley, Wigan, England, WN2 3LH, led by Clint Godfrey, Ed.D. This policy explains what personal data we collect through icleducation.com and the Digital BRIDGES Review tool, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

2. What we collect, and why

Contact form

When you use the contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, the type of enquiry, and your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and keep a record of our correspondence. Legal basis: legitimate interest, in responding to an enquiry you have initiated.

Explore BRIDGES

When you join Explore BRIDGES (free), we collect your first name and email address, and optionally your job title, organisation, and how you heard about BRIDGES. We use this to send you the starter resources, set up your sign-in for Digital BRIDGES Review, send a short welcome email sequence on using BRIDGES, and occasional information about ways to continue developing with BRIDGES (including Develop and Embed). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email, or by contacting us. Legal basis: consent.

Develop with BRIDGES: register your interest

If you register your interest in Develop with BRIDGES, we collect your first name and email address so we can let you know when it opens. No payment is taken and no account is created at this stage. Legal basis: consent.

Digital BRIDGES Review

If you sign in to use Digital BRIDGES Review, we use your email address to sign you in via a one-time secure link (no password is stored). We also store the review data submitted through the tool, for example self, peer or learner feedback about a session you are reviewing. If you invite others to give feedback on a session, their responses may include comments about you or that session; these are visible to you and used to support your own professional reflection, and are not shared beyond your account without your consent. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you (providing the service you have signed up to), and legitimate interest.

Session Planner and Span

If you use the Session Planner or Span, our AI coach (both Develop features), we store the session plans you create and your conversation history with Span, so you can pick up where you left off between visits; clearing a conversation with Span (“Start a new conversation”) permanently deletes that history. The content you enter, including plan details, chat messages, and anything else you type such as a Digital BRIDGES Review score you are asking about, is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to generate a response (see “Who we share data with” below). We do not access the content of your session plans or Span conversations ourselves, other than where necessary to fix a technical fault, investigate a report of misuse, or comply with a legal obligation. Please don’t enter information that could identify a learner, colleague or other third party. We also keep a simple count of how many AI requests you have made, to apply a fair-use monthly limit; this does not include the content of your messages. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you (providing the service you have signed up to).

3. Who we share data with

We use a small number of third-party services to run this site and its member tools. Each processes data only for the purpose described below, under its own privacy policy:

• Netlify: hosts this website and handles form submissions.
• Google reCAPTCHA: protects our forms from spam and automated abuse; this may involve Google processing some device and usage data.
• Google Fonts: delivers the typefaces used on this site.
• EmailJS: sends the automatic welcome email when you join Explore BRIDGES.
• Supabase: the database and sign-in system behind Digital BRIDGES Review, the Session Planner, and Span.
• Anthropic: powers Span and the Session Planner’s AI features (drafting and per-move assistance); the content you enter into these tools is sent to Anthropic to generate a response. Anthropic is based in the US, and processes this data under its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site.

4. Cookies and local storage

We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies. The site uses only strictly necessary storage: Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies while a protected form is open, and, if you sign in to Digital BRIDGES Review, the Session Planner or Span, Supabase stores your sign-in session in your browser so you stay signed in between visits.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry, Explore, and Develop-interest data for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or until you ask us to delete it. Digital BRIDGES Review, Session Planner and Span data is kept for as long as your account is active, or as otherwise agreed with you; you can delete individual session plans yourself at any time, and clear your Span conversation history using “Start a new conversation”.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it (access)
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data (rectification)
• Ask us to delete your data, where applicable (erasure)
• Ask us to restrict, or object to, how we use your data
• Withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from emails
• Ask for your data in a portable format
• Complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data

7. Children’s data

This site and Digital BRIDGES Review are intended for use by educators, facilitators, trainers and other adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we’ll let Explore and Develop members know by email.
